Wedding Photography Display at Sheffield OEC
Last Sunday (23rd February) turned out to be a busy day for us. Definitely a change from our usual relaxing Sundays! We had a special task at hand: showcasing our wedding photography at the Sheffield OEC for a wedding fayre hosted by The UK Wedding Event team. It was a fantastic yet hectic day.
We arrived nice and early to set up our stand, giving ourselves plenty of time to get everything just right. My new brochures, featuring the latest wedding photography packages, had arrived from the printers in perfect timing, so they were proudly displayed on the table. However, their time in the spotlight was short-lived, as I also brought along my full range of wedding albums, which quickly took up most of the space. As a result, my shiny new brochures were pushed aside!
Our stand was next to the lovely people from PA Jewellery, Sheffield, who had an impressive collection of rings on display for the couples planning their big day. On the other side, we had Tim and Alison from Not Just Travel – what a fun pair! We had a good laugh with them throughout the day. Since we’d arrived early, we also managed to fit in a quick headshot session for them. Luckily, as a wedding photographer, I always have my camera on hand!
It’s Showtime!
The show kicked off with a bang as couples planning their weddings started arriving in numbers. We were lucky enough to be positioned close to the catwalk show, which meant we met lots of excited couples eager to discuss their plans. The buzz was electric from the start, and we were thrilled to chat with so many lovely couples. It was one of the busiest shows I’ve been to, so it was tricky to speak to everyone. But, we did meet some wonderful people who were very complimentary about my wedding photography! It’s always rewarding to hear such kind words.
The energy stayed high throughout the day, so we were kept busy and definitely felt the tiredness by the end. All in all, it was a fantastic event. A huge thank you to all the couples who stopped by to chat, and an extra big thanks to those who took advantage of our special offers and booked us as their wedding photographer. Well done to Sheffield OEC and The UK Wedding Event team for organising such a brilliant show!
